About

Sophia began practicing yoga in 2005 when she injured her neck with too much grad school studying. She quickly fell in love with vinyasa, restoring her body and building upon her extensive training in classical ballet. Yoga has been a source of transformation, strength, and inspiration through the many changes and challenges of Sophia's life.

Sophia combines a mindful approach with attention to proper alignment, breath, and emotional awareness. Her classes increase resilience and inspire her students to experience their best wisest self through the challenging and joyful sequencing. She hopes her students will grow their ability to love, hold compassion, and extend grace towards themselves and others.

Sophia completed her 500-hour advanced certification in 2017 with Jennifer Prugh at Breathe Together Yoga in Los Gatos, California, and is is a 200-hour Certified Yoga Teacher with Yoga Medicine by Tiffany Cruikshank.
